■ ダイハツ製の車に乗っている人は奥平総一郎社長によれば、発覚した174の不正に関しては乗り続けても安全性に問題はないと説明された。

■ ただし、別の問題として、ダイハツ「キャスト」とトヨタ「ピクシスジョイ」のエアバッグに作業過程で見つかった問題があり、これについては技術的な検証が進められている。

■ 現時点では事故や問題の報告はないとされ、奥平社長は引き続き安心して乗車できると述べたが、国交相は問題のあるエアバッグについて「断じて許されない」と非難した。
